Workout programs and styles have changed over the years to accommodate the needs we face as families and as individuals. Oftentimes, our work schedules and where we are at with different stages in our lives dictates the type of workouts we engage in.

Most recreational fitness enthusiasts in the past have enjoyed traditional bodybuilding workouts. This is also referred to as body part training. Then, we moved into a revised phase called ‘functional training’ where many fitness enthusiasts gravitated towards training their core and paying more attention to the smaller muscles of the body in integrated compound moves as opposed to exercises in isolation.

Most recently, we have seen a new gravitation towards fast workouts that complete full body circuits or supersets in 20 to 30 minutes or less. Regardless of which style of workout works best for you and your current phase of life, check out some of these workouts!
